Assessment of the Governance Dimension in the Frame of the 2030 Agenda: Evidence from 100 Spanish Cities

The 2030 Agenda highlights the importance of governance to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). However, we observe that there is an underestimation dimension in SDG indices. reasons are twofold. Firstly, indices assign a lower weight compared other dimensions sustainability. Secondly, most indicators do not measure relational dynamics underlie sustainable development policies. aim this study thus provide alternative methods for more accurate assessment frame Agenda. With purpose, examine performance 100 Spanish cities on SDGs included first report elaborated by Solutions Network Spain 2018. Using data, develop methodology rebalance current dimension, comparing its impact these cities. build new indicator ‘Strategic Culture’ get urban contexts.
